1. Plying The Oars

(intro)

2. Sailing Towards The Unknown

Years of toil and sweat wore us all out
Thousands of hours conceiving and building
The strength and pride of a whole nation
Finally gave form to our dreams to explore

Fifteen ships and three hundred companions are to embark
Horns and chants extol our departure, communion songs
A sentiment of honour fills our burning hearts
It's time to kiss our land goodbye and to hoist our sails arid banners

We gaze at the shores, they're fading in the fog
The spirit of conquest bolstering our courage
Gates to the unknown, to this vast domain
A horizon of frost, a call to our souls arid bones

Flames in our eyes, we proceed, our sails are windblown
Led by our fate, we shall spread our Clan's grandeur

Oarsmen strive, all as one
With thunder in the arms

Fierce is our will to attain new frontiers
Sailing onwards and incessantly
Stronger than ever, we shall fear no danger
As songs of the brave resound loud and dear

Blow the horns, we celebrate tonight
Our destines to be engraved among stars

Loud, the echo of discovery, captivates our men
Like a siren's song, the great blue arouses our eagerness
Winds push our vessels to the limits of a brand new world
Where many lands remain to be explored and conquered

Sighting the edge of our world
Reading the signs in the clouds

So long, so long journey
So far, so far away

3. Skywrath

Eight moons have passed since we left our shores
Across these unknown seas, with stars as our only guides

Storm rumbling, darkening skies
Whirlwinds of terror

Destructive waves collide bows
Hellish blades piercing heart of our braves

Pitch black skies, the face of death
Mother Nature strikes infuriated

Rains of fire burn, devastating thunderstorm
In an instant of horror, four ships are smashed and ravaged

Fifty men face their cold mortality
Entombed in the silence of eternity

Tormented and petrified, by this tragedy from the sky
Certain death in this havoc night, in a reign of flood and fine

4. Till The Moon Drowns

In the darkness, we count our losses
As we mourn our fallen brothers
In affliction, we cry helpless
In this ghastly mournful silence

Cold sadness takes us all

Expectations went down with our comrades
The women weeping, laments of the lonely
Despondency, in the silence of the hold
As anger overcomes the hearts of men

Why such punishment?
We're just discoverers

Gaia poured mourning, a deluge of woe and agony

As I stand alone to the sky
I call on our wise ancestors

Who are we? But children of Her might
Subjects of Her raging tyranny

We knew this voyage could hurt us deeply

Our heart is brave and our grit is our pride
Thus this crucible toil! not bring us down

O fathers, can you just feel our sorrow?

The sobs break the silence tonight
Of women who lost spouses and sons
The shades of the dead in the foam
So many companions drowned

Our journey shall go on, we look ahead and see the stars lighting the sky
Until the grey moon drowns, showing us the path to new lands to explore

5. Sea Of Thalardh

Haumden!

At daybreak on the nordic shores shall rise the chants of victorious souls
Amidst devastated battlefields yet conquered domains to be ours
Under the sign of the raging storms the clan has vanquished the weak
Resound in the sky the echoes of bravery and might... from the Sea of Thalardh

We hear the voices of elder fathers like winds above the sea
We hear the words of the wise men sounding as a sermon of war
Our tribe shall remain the one to be remembered as triumphant
Our combatants shall vanquish without fear and march through the lands

Another battle and we prevailed, another territory conquered
We raised the flag on this new won domain, a sign of our glorious power

Onwards to shores for another crusade
Beyond the seas are new frontiers to take

Another battle and we prevailed, another territory conquered
We raised the flag on this new won domain, a sign of our glorious power

In violence and screams, the hordes will break the silence tonight
And cross the gates of the mystic and dreadful world of Leviathan

6. The Dweller Of The Deep

Our legend is our pride, we're heading for glory
Weakened but strong, we shall face another ordeal

Deep tremors from beyond, turbulent swirls surround our legion
Screams break the silence, cries of disaster

The seas are revealing a monster never seen on the Earth
With sharp tentacles, chopping heads off

Le Royaume des mers a libéré la béte, cerbère abyssal dévoreur de nos
âmés

Death is taking three ships in turmoil
Engulfing our brothers in funeral depths

7. Through Primeval Waters

Days, weeks and months have gone by
Have worn down our bodies and dented our hopes
We have witnessed the loss of many lives
And in the same time, the bjrth of new heirs

Our vessels have become our home
These fragile havens, shaken by time
We faced the wrath of the skies
And we battled fierce tribes
To assert our sovereignty
But now far away from our land and our roots
We have lost the sense of this epic journey

I led my people and their hopes to ruin
Dreams of glory turned to dreadful sorrow

Despair deeply anchored in their eyes
As starvation starts decimating our frailest

Our faith drowned below, misery and pain in our hearts
Where will it take us? Lost in seas of oblivion

Hatred and delusion take my men
I feel the rage flowing through their veins and then infecting their blood
I smell the reek of creeping death
I taste the harshness in their mood while sanity is fading away

Our faith drowned below, misery and pain in our hearts
Where will it take us? Lost in seas of oblivion

An empty horizon, a world of silence
No salty sea wind to batter our sails
In port or starboard, an endless blue field
Abandoned by life, standing still
A world with no land, an infinite ocean
To earth's boundaries, to the end of our world
These primeval waters, we ventured into
Are older than all, before creation

Oblivion, oblivion
Will our lineage die out in the void?

Gods! Is it our end? Our end?
Gods! Will we see a marrow? A morrow?

A world with no land, an infinite ocean
To earth's boundaries, to the end of our world

8. Unveiling A New Earth

I don't know what to say to my men
I am looking at my wife and my sons
Fear and forsaking in their eyes
Time has prevailed on us all, on our faith, on our forces
Trapped in our coffin ships

One cold morning, a sound broke the silence
A forgotten sound, a bird's song rising
How can it be? A sign of life in this nothing?

The gull circles around our ships as if to salute us, is it our deliverance?
Was it sent by gods to give us a final chance to live? To continue our journey
The bird is earth and earth is life, the seeds of salvation, the promise of a new age

We regain hope, full sail ahead, to reach this land, unreal?

Muscles are tense and exhausted, we row all as one, towards the bright horizon
Men and women on the deck, children by our sides, with ardor in their eyes

The look-out is our eyes. "Earth!'' its now in sight
The winds push us toward, we scream and sing our joy

This is the end of our tragic crusade
We're now heading for a new chapter to write

What shall we find out in this brand new world?
What people? What wealth? What dangers?
This earth is now to our view, so eagerly hoped
It's opening itself to us

We can see the shores, we can almost touch them
The coasts are finally revealing in the mist
Fires are rising into the sky, what do they announce to us?
Death or life?
